HOW IT WORKS

We design in five stages

Stages 01–04 take 6–10 weeks. Stage 05 is the ongoing relationship — the part where the system becomes an asset that compounds with use.

01
DIAGNOSE

Diagnose

We begin with a 30-minute working session. The aim is not to demo software — it's to understand the workflow you actually run today, the people who run it, and the bottlenecks they accept as given.

  • Map current intake-to-output workflow
  • Identify domain-specific friction (not generic friction)
  • Catalogue data sensitivity and retention constraints
  • Surface the work that should never be automated
Output
A short discovery memo: automation feasibility, expected impact, and an initial estimate. Delivered within one week of the call.
02
DESIGN

Design

The axioms of your domain — the reasoning structure your team applies without thinking — are written down. Not in our language, in yours. This document becomes the contract the system is built against.

  • Domain axioms document — co-authored with your senior practitioners
  • Workflow decomposition into reviewable units
  • De-identification policy (for legal and medical engagements)
  • System sketch: agents, knowledge base, interfaces
Output
A signed design document and architectural sketch. Reviewable by anyone in your firm or lab without technical background.
03
BUILD

Build

Construction happens with you in the room, not behind a curtain. The build has three layers: a domain knowledge base (your corpus, embedded and queryable via RAG), domain-specific agents (built from the axioms in the design document), and a workflow interface. Weekly working sessions ensure what is built is what was specified.

  • Domain knowledge base: corpus ingestion, embedding, LLM-backed retrieval (RAG)
  • Agents built around your reasoning patterns, not generic prompts
  • Workflow interface configured to your team's daily practice
  • On-premise pipeline where data sensitivity requires it
  • Internal pilot with a controlled subset of real work
Output
A working system, pilot-validated against real domain inputs from your firm or lab.
04
DEPLOY

Deploy

Most engagements end at handoff. Ours does not. We stay until the system is in your team's hands and embedded in real workflows — and we stay after, because that is when the work begins to compound.

  • Team onboarding for partners, attorneys, or researchers
  • First 90 days of in-operation support included
  • System adjustment as the workflow reveals what it really needs
  • Asset accumulation policy installed from day one
Output
A system in operation. Not a deliverable. Not a license. A working part of your practice.
05
COMPOUND

Compound

Deployment is not the end. Every cycle of operation — every memo refined, every report finalised, every interview coded — adds to the domain knowledge base. The asset compounds; the system grows more useful with use, not less. We continue to support that evolution.

  • Every accepted output ingested back into the knowledge base
  • Periodic review of retrieval quality and axiom alignment
  • Domain knowledge consolidated as a firm or lab asset — not vendor lock-in
  • Continued advisory engagement on system evolution
Output
A compounding domain knowledge base. The system's value grows with the work, not against it.
05 — COST & TIMING

A note on price

AxiomLab does not publish flat package prices. Every engagement varies substantially by domain and scale.

A precise quote is delivered as a proposal after the discovery call. The discovery memo includes feasibility and an initial estimate; the proposal arrives once we have agreed on scope. There is no charge for the initial consultation.
